Jeanneau Yachts 55

We’re excited to share with you a fresh and innovative design that we can’t wait to see in person. The Jeanneau Yachts 55, which comes on the heels of the recently launched Jeanneau Yachts 60 and 65, offers a completely unique layout that prioritizes the owner’s privacy. In recognition of the fact that everyone needs their own space at times, Jeanneau has taken a bold step by creating a full apartment dedicated solely to the owner. With separate companionways that provide direct access to the aft guest cabins, the area from the main companionway forward is reserved entirely for the owner’s use.

The split cockpit is another unconventional feature that sets the Jeanneau Yachts 55 apart. While the forward end is dedicated to sail handling and is protected by a fixed arch and sprayhood or fixed windscreen, the entire aft section is devoted to comfortable sun lounging space. Overall, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 is a refreshing departure from the norm that promises to offer a luxurious and enjoyable sailing experience for owners and guests alike.

Dufour 37

The new model, which was intended to replace the highly popular 360 by Dufour, has been given the 37 badge despite being 4 feet shorter on deck. However, the modern hull design of the yacht, along with its voluminous bow and wide stern, make it difficult to notice the reduction in size once on board. The spaciousness on and below deck is remarkable. Furthermore, sailing this yacht is an exhilarating experience. With three different winch and deck setups, labeled Easy, Ocean, and Performance, the yacht has been nominated for the European Yacht of the Year 2023 in the Family Cruiser category. The winners and further information on the nominees will be included in our upcoming issue next month.

Elan Impression 43

Elan’s Impression range has been a popular choice for Mediterranean cruising and charters due to their spacious design and easy-to-use sailing capabilities. Despite the recent release of impressive new designs like the GT6 and the E6, the Impression range was in need of a fresh update. To achieve this, renowned Elan designer Rob Humphreys has developed a sleek new hull shape for the range’s latest addition, which includes twin rudders and a 1.95m L-shaped keel as standard. Additionally, Pininfarina, the renowned design firm that collaborated with Elan on the E6, was commissioned to create the stylish exterior for the new deck saloon.

Inside, the yacht boasts a spacious and charming rustic oak interior, with the option of three or four cabins and two heads. Elan has also utilized its Vacuum Assisted Infusion Lamination (VAIL) technology on the hull, deck, and stringers, ensuring a stiff and consistent finish. For those seeking extra length, an optional bowsprit extends the LOA from 43ft 8in to 44ft 7in. With its innovative design, high-quality construction, and luxurious amenities, the latest addition to Elan’s Impression range is sure to impress even the most discerning sailors.
